Lotus takes out one group a day. So there's no rush, no queue, no fight over a sunbed. Just the sea, food cooked on deck and the sunset.

Route

The bays we anchor in

The route follows the weather — the skipper picks whichever bays are calmest that day.

Bedri Rahmi Bay

The painted fish on the rock, turquoise shallows

Yassıca Islands

Shallow channels between islands, beaches you can walk to

Sarsala Bay

Where the pine forest comes down to the sea

Tersane Island

Ancient ruins you can see while snorkelling

The boat

Thirty years in the same water.

What makes Lotus special isn't her length. It's that she belongs to a family who scrub her deck every morning and greet every guest by name.

We leave from Dalaman and sail the twelve islands of Göcek, Bedri Rahmi Bay, Sarsala and three or four bays that aren't on any map. The route is redrawn each morning around the wind.

Lunch is cooked on deck. The fish is bought that morning, the mezes are made at home. And the one thing you won't find on a crowded tour boat is simpler still: quiet.

★★★★★

We've been coming to Fethiye for three years and for the first time we felt like guests rather than tourists. The skipper took us to a bay with nobody in it and we stayed three hours.

The food was far better than we expected. Life jackets and snorkels were ready for the children and the crew genuinely looked after us. The boat was spotless.

We booked the sunset cruise at the last minute. Best three hours of the holiday — next year we're taking the full day.

FAQ

Good to know

What should we bring?

A swimsuit, sun cream and a hat. Towels, snorkelling gear, life jackets and the sea kayak are all on board.

Can non-swimmers come along?

Of course. We carry life jackets in every size and one of the crew is always watching the water. We also stop in shallow bays for children.

What if we cancel?

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour. If we cancel because of the weather, you choose between a new date and a full refund.

What's for lunch?

Grilled fish or chicken, a seasonal salad and home-made mezes. Just tell us when you book if you'd like vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free.

How big are the groups?

One group a day, twelve guests at most. You won't find yourself among forty people the way you would on a big tour boat.

Do you pick us up from our hotel?

Transfer is free in Dalaman, Sarıgerme, Ortaca and Göcek. For anywhere further out, write to us and we'll work something out.

August is filling up fast.

Tell us your date and we'll come straight back about availability.
